Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), conducted an official visit to the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) on 2 December 2024.
The Commander was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, and accorded a ceremonial drive pass upon arrival. A sapling was then planted to mark the occasion, followed by a detailed briefing by Commanding Officer on the Battalion's operational commitments and responsibilities.
During his address, the Commander emphasized the importance of self-discipline, integrity, and professionalism while adapting to societal changes.
The visit concluded with an inspection of the Battalion and the signing of the Visitors’ Book. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
