Commander Security Forces - East Visits to 23 Infantry Division

Major General S.A Kulathunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander, Security Forces - East (SF-East), conducted his maiden official visit to the Headquarters 23 Infantry Division on 27 April 2024 after assuming duties as the Commander Security Forces (East).

The Commander SF - East, was warmly welcomed to the 23 Infantry Division by Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division upon his arrival to the premises according to him a Guard Turnout at the main entrance following military traditions.

After the introduction of the staff officers of the Division headquarters, the new East Commander planted a ‘Mango’ sapling and participated in a group photograph to mark his maiden visit to the 23 Infantry Division Headquarters.

Thereafter, addressing all ranks of the 23 Division, Commander SF-East, emphasized the importance of maintenance of discipline, effectiveness, and dedication to achieve any task as ‘One Team’ when entrusted a task to perform followed by a comprehensive briefing conducted by the General Officer Commanding on the role and tasks and operational readiness of 23 Infantry Division and under command Brigades and Battalions. Subsequently, the Commander, SF-East, had a discussion on security and administrative issues related to the Division.

The Brigade Commanders, Senior Staff Officers of the SF HQ - East, Commanding Officers, Officers & Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
