Commander with Popular Artistes Visits ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’

A group of popular artistes, attached to the ‘Ammai- Duwai’ (Mother & Daughter) entertaining programme of the ‘Derana’ TV, together with the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva visited the inmates at ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ (MSM) and spent a few hours with them on Saturday (23).

The project, coordinated by the Military Assistant, MSM and the Directorate of Rehabilitation also gifted those disabled War Heroes with a valuable keyboard for their use, sponsored by Facia Pvt Ltd on the same occasion.

The runner-up in the ‘Derana’ band competition entertained the inmates with music and songs as everybody joined refreshments with the Commander, inmates and the visiting stars.

Veteran actress, Malini Fonseka, Yashodha Wimaladhrama, Chathurika Peiris, popular actor Roshan Ranawana and several other popular tele stars, singers and entertainers joined the occasion.
