Commander of Logistics Command Inspects BOD in Ragama

The Commander, Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), Major General E.M.M. Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, conducted an administrative inspection at the Base Ordnance Depot (BOD), Ragama on 13 June 2024.

On his arrival, the Commandant of BOD, Colonel K.P.N.S.K. Kariyawasam Lsc AATO, welcomed the Commander Headquarters Logistics Command at the entrance. Afterwards, the visiting Senior Officer planted a sapling at the BOD premises to mark the visit, followed by a group photograph. During the visit, the Colonel Commandant of SLAOC inspected the camp premises.

During his address to the troops, he appreciated the efforts taken by the Commandant and all ranks to maintain the depot to a high standard. Furthermore, the visiting Senior Officer shared his vision for future training aspects. He highlighted that participation in courses, training opportunities, and constant learning are vital for developing their professionalism. The day’s proceedings culminated after Colonel Commandant penning some remarks in the visitors’ book.
