Just a few hours after the new Defence Secretary, Mr. Karunasena Hettiarchchi assumed office Wednesday (9), the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva paid a courtesy call and greeted him at the Ministry of Defence office.
Extending his best wishes on the new appointment and assuring him of all the co-operation, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva had a brief formal discussion with him where he presented him with a brief account on the Army and its services.
An exchange of mementos culminated the brief courtesy call.
