Commander Contributes to Workshop on Logistic Command

A workshop for Officers serving as 2nd in command in different service regiments of the Army Logistic Command which was addressed by the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva through video technology got underway on Wednesday (16) at the Logistic Command auditorium.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva told the Officers of the importance of logistics in a huge organization like the Army and their inter-related operational aspects and urged them to fulfill their duties with commitment for the betterment of the organization.

Directors and representative Officers of the Army Headquarters, Brigadier Priyantha Weerasingha, Director Ordnance Services (DOS), Brigadier Sanath Aluwihare, Director Welfare, Brigadier Chanaka Meththananda, Director of Ordnance, Director of Budget and Finance and Colonel N Nallaperuma, Colonel Legal of Directorate of Legal affairs during the workshop refreshed knowledge respectively on ordnance procedures, welfare procedures, ordnance, loan procedures and calculations of interest and importance of the Army Act and prerequisites for the Court of Inquiry.
