Commander of the Army Vests a New House in a Deserving Family in Trincomalee

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army, officially bestowed the key of a newly constructed house to a deserving family in the 22 Infantry Division area on 07 June 2024.

The house was constructed by the troops of 4 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (4 SLAC), under the instructions of Lieutenant Colonel D.M.V.M.R Disanayaka RWP RSP psc, the Commanding Officer of 4 SLAC and with the financial assistance of Mr. Ruchira Vithanage. The Army Chief vested the newly built house in Mrs. M.G Thilini Taniya Dilshani, who is residing in China Bay, Trincomalee.

Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander of Security Forces - East, Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division, Commanders of respective Brigades, Police Officers, government officials and civilians of the area participated in the event.
