On 26 March, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG Commander of the Army, participated in a special Iftar ceremony at the Grand Maitland in Colombo 07. The ceremony marked the traditional observance of Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, reinforcing cultural solidarity within the Sri Lanka Army.
The event was organised by the Sri Lanka Army Muslim Association chaired by Major General T.N Majeed RSP USP ndc Isc.
Among the notable attendees were Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff, members of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, International Muslim Student Officers from the National Defence College and Defence Services Command and Staff College and All Ranks representing all the Regiments.
