Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage paid his last respect to late Second Lieutenant Y.M.S.B Thilakarathna, at Madiligama on Thursday (12).
Second Lieutenant Y.M.S.B Thilakarathna, a Platoon Commander of 5 Sri Lanka National Guard unexpectedly passed away on Monday (09) while following the Young Officers’ Course at Commando Training School in Uva Kudaoya.
During the funeral which was held with full military honours, a large number of Officers, Other Rankers, family members and colleagues paid their final salute to the late officer.
