Major General S.B Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, the recently - appointed fourth Commander of 1 Corps, made his formal visit to the Commando Brigade Headquarters on Friday (28 July 2023).
He was warmly welcomed to the Brigade Headquarters by Brigadier V.M.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP who conducted a comprehensive briefing about the functions of the Commando Brigade. The Commanding Officer of 4 CR also briefed about the tasks of the Brigade. Thereafter, Commander 1 Corps, had a field visit inside the Brigade HQ.
Moreover, the Commander of 1 Corps took part as the Chief Guest in the presentation of badges and awarding of certificates to the course attendees in the "Hostage Rescue & Counter Terrorist" (HR & CT) Course No-31 and the VVIP Protection Induction Course No-06 conducted by 4 Commando Regiment.
The visiting guest also addressed the gathering and encouraged them and appearded for several group photographs.
