The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) hosted a welcoming ceremony for 18 newly commissioned Probation Officers who completed the Direct Enlistment Professional Officer Cadet Course Stage 1 of 2024 on 5 November 2024.
Major General B.K.G.M.L Rodrigo RSP psc IG, Commandant of the SLAVF, addressed the Officers, focusing on the responsibilities expected from Commissioned Officers in military service. He emphasised the valuable expertise these Officers bring from diverse fields and highlighted their potential contributions to the Army's goals.
The Commandant expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the new Officers and extended his gratitude to their families. He concluded by commending their professionalism and wishing them success in their military careers.
