Commandant at Pakistan’s Army School of Logistics Meets Chief of Staff

Brigadier Nadeem Iqbal Chaudhry, Commandant, Pakistan’s Army School of Logistics (ASL) who is currently in Sri Lanka on a week-long visit paid a courtesy call on Major General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Staff on behalf of the Commander of the Army this morning (21) at the Army Headquarters.

During the cordial meeting that ensued at the office of the Chief of Staff, the visiting ASL Commandant recalled friendly bilateral relations and historic bonds of goodwill that prevail between both countries. Major General Silva also gratefully acknowledged gestures of military assistance that has been made available to Sri Lanka whenever required and the cooperation the Pakistan Army regularly offers for Sri Lankan training modules.

Major General Aruna Wanniarachchi, Director General Training, Major Shahbaz Javeed, Staff Officer to the visiting Logistic Commander and Colonel Sajjad Ali, Defence Advisor at the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka were among participants in the meeting at the Army Headquarters.

Brigadier Nadeem Iqbal Chaudhry during his stay in Sri Lanka is scheduled to call at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) in Trincomalee on Tuesday (22) and hold discussions with the ASL Commandant, Brigadier Deepal Wanniarachchi before he watches a presentation on the ASL mandate and its training modules.

A few minutes later, the visiting Pakistan’s Senior Army Officer would make a formal address to the Student Officers, following the Logistic Course No 5 at the ASL in Trincomalee.
