Combined Residential Training for Logistic Battalions Begins in Jaffna


Security force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) organized a 6-day combined residential training programme for all logistic battalions serving in the area. Its inauguration ceremony was held at Kankesanthurai (KKS) on Friday (7).

The full strength of all logistic battalions serving in one area were brought under one roof for a residential training on the directions of Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-J who inaugurated the event.

The aim of the programees was to enhance their leadership qualities and professionalism, sense of team spirits, knowledge on regimental duties and traditions and proper management of human and physical resources through which high productivity can be expected.

Under this training programme, 5 Corps of Engineer Services (CES), 5 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC), 4 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC), 5 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), 4 Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) and 4 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) based in KKS took part in the training.

All ranks of those six logistics battalions were exempted from their routine duties which were temporarily taken over by other battalions in order to facilitate the training of 58 officers and 2127 other ranks.
