Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI Visits Under-Command Battalions

Major General G.M.N. Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), visited under-command Battalions after assuming the duties of the Colonel of the Regiment from 22 to 24 March 2024.

Accordingly, he visited 3 SLLI, 4 SLLI, 6 SLLI, 7 SLLI, 10 SLLI, 12 SLLI, 15 SLLI, 19 SLLI, 9 (V) SLLI, and 17 (V) SLLI Battalions. The Colonel of the Regiment received a warm welcome from the respective Commanding Officers, and he addressed Officers and Other Ranks at each Battalion, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline, preventing illegal activities, avoiding online gambling, and handling social media.

During the visit, the newly constructed Regiment Sergeant Major Chalet of the 7 SLLI was declared open by the Colonel of the Regiment.
