Major General S.P.A.I.M.B. Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME), paid an official visit to the 4 Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (4 SLEME) on 18 November 2024.
The Colonel Commandant was accorded a ceremonial drive pass and warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer upon his arrival. During the visit, he inaugurated a newly constructed Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant in the premises and posed for a group photograph.
Subsequently, he addressed the troops, highlighting their invaluable contributions to the regiment's success. Following his address, he attended a formal tea party, engaging with the troops in a cordial atmosphere.
The visit concluded with the Colonel Commandant signing the visitor’s book. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the occasion.
