Colombo, Galle & Gampaha Record Highest Positive Cases- NOCPCO

As of this morning (15), a total of 2289 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The majority of 555 are from Colombo District. Among them were 126 from Piliyandala, 42 from Moratuwa, 35 from Maharagama and 33 from Boralesgamuwa, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Similarly, 281 positive cases were reported from Galle District including 130 from Habaraduwa, 35 from Rathgama, 19 from Yakkalamulla and 15 from Kosgoda areas and others from different areas in Galle.

Meanwhile, 236 patients were reported from Gampaha District, including the majority 36 from Gampaha, 26 from Wattala and 25 from Biyagama areas and others from different areas in Gampaha.

Accordingly, in the past 24 hours, 1072 patients were reported from Colombo, Galle and Gampaha Districts. Other 1217 patients were reported as follows: 218 from Kurunegala, 211 from Kalutara, 99 from Puttalam, 79 from Matara, 73 from Kegalle, 71 from Nuawa Eliya District, 45 from Ampara and Jaffna, 40 from Hambantota, 38 from Kandy, 35 from Ratnapura, 35 from Anuradhapura, 29 from Polonnaruwa District, 24 from Trincomalee District, 22 from Monaragala District, 20 from Badulla, 12 from Kilinochchi, 11 from Batticaloa, 10 from Vavuniya, and 1 from Mullaittivu District.
