In order to keep the public aware of the importance of maintaining their environment clean and healthy, Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) troops as usual carried out collective community projects in the fast few days.
Officers and soldiers of 221 and 232 Brigades under 22 and 23 Divisions, conducted more ‘Shramadana’ campaigns in public places.
Troops of 2 Gajaba Regiment (GR) conducted their ‘Shramadana’ campaign to clean Dr. Gunanasekaram pre-school premises at Ambuwelipuram in Trincomalee area on Sunday (9).
On Tuesday (11), 2 GR and 8 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops, organized ‘Shramadana’ campaigns to clean the premises of Sonakawadi Gramasewa Offices in Trincomalee area and Navanindiyamadu Kovil in weppavaduwan Eraurpathu Chankalladi area.
Meanwhile, 12 Sri Lanka Artillery conducted a Dengue prevention campaign by cleaning the premises at Miranakadavala Kovil at Koralepattu South area on Tuesday (11). Civilians also supported these projects.
