COLOMBO: A CLAYMORE MINE weighing about 6 kg was found from SEBESTIAN canal at BODHIRAJA MAWATHA in COLOMBO 10 Saturday (21) around 1.00 p.m..
A group of UDA (Urban Development Authority) employees who were clearing mud in the canal near the bridge closer to KETTARAMA ground (R. PREMADASA Cricket Stadium) detected the claymore mine and brought it to the notice of the Police.
It was later defused by the Bomb Disposal unit.
