Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) as the Chief Guest declared open a newly-erected accommodation complex for civil staffers serving the SLAC Regimental Headquarters at Rock House this morning (28) at the invitation of Brigadier M.S Devapriya, Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Regimental Headquarters.
Accomplishing this long-felt requirement of civil staffers inside the Rock House camp, this two-storied civil accommodation building is capable of accommodating 56 civil staffers who provide services to the RHQ SLAC, Armoured Brigade and the 1 SLAC.
A brief ceremony adhering to health regulations saw the day’s Chief Guest unveiled a plaque and cut a ribbon to declare it as opened.
