A new combined office complex for Colonel Co-ordinating Office, Civil Affairs Office, Media Section and Psychological Section at the Wanni Security Force HQ premises was opened on Monday (17) by Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) Brigadier Harendra Ranasinghe.
After observing difficulties faced by the troops in coordinating various projects, Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces -Wanni promptly instructed the 22 Engineers Services squadron in the Wanni Headquarters to commence the construction for a new office complex to shift those branches. This was one of the major requirements in Headquarters since these branches deal with the public very much but were operating with minimum infrastructure facilities.
It was constructed on the directions of the Officer Commanding Engineers Services Squadron at the Headquarters, Major W.C Deshapriya and under the supervision of the Brigadier Administration and Quartering Colonel Indu Samarakoon.
