CISM Delegation Calls on Army Chief to Discuss 80th Annual General Meeting Preparations

A delegation from the International Military Sports Council (CISM), including Colonel Clayton Ricardo Pontes, (Strategy and General Affairs Director), and Major Daniel Laffaratta Cardoso, (Protocol and Events Manager) from the Brazilian Army, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army and President of the Defence Services Sports Board (DSSB), on 05 September 2024.

The discussion focused on preparations for the 80th CISM Annual General Assembly and congress, scheduled to be held in May 2025 in Sri Lanka which is to be organized by the Sri Lanka Army. Both parties emphasized the importance of early preparations to ensure the event's success.

At the conclusion, the Army Commander presented a special memento, which was reciprocated by the CISM delegation, further strengthening the bond of friendship and cooperation between the two parties.

Brigadier L.K.T Fernando RSP USP, Director Sports also participated in the event.
