CIMIC Park in Palaly Gifted to the Jaffna Civilian Community

51 Infantry Division inaugurated its second exclusive 'CIMIC Park' on 07 June 2024. Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Forces -Jaffna, graced the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest, welcomed by Major General W.B.J.K Wimalaratne RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division.

This project was completed within a month by Army trooos and established on the request made by civilians in the area. Mr. Vamadeva Thiagendran (Jaffna) and his daughter Dr. Nilayini Thiagendran (Switzerland) generously supported the project financially, contributing significantly to this noble cause for the benefit of the local communities.
