The badge-awarding ceremony plus the passing out parade of Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIJW) Course No - 36 for Other Ranks was held at the Army Training School in Maduruoya (ATS). Brigadier K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, the Commandant, ATS graced the occasion as the chief guest.
42 Other Ranks, who successfully completed the CIJW Course No - 36 were awarded certificates on 08 April 2024. Corporal J.H.K Silva of 1 Special Forces Regiment was awarded as the Best Student of the Course.
Lectures and outdoor training exercises were among the training modules for the course, which was conducted from 16 January 2024 to 08 April 2024. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the occasion.
