The awarding of certificates and insignia to attendees in the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare Course of Other Ranks - No 33 (CIJW) got underway at the Army Training School (ATS) Maduruoya on Saturday (08 April).
79 Other Ranks representing different regiments in the Army followed the 2 month-long course.
Corporal W.A.S. Kumara of the 2 Special Forces Regiment was awarded the trophy as the Best Student in the Course.
Brigadier Nalin Bandaranayaka, ATS Commandant graced the occasion as the chief guest.
