Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on account of Christmas organized a Christmas Carol programme at Vettalakerni, Mulliyan and Kadeikadu areas on Wednesday (25) morning.
The programme was conducted with the cooperation of Catholic priests of the area and under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 55 Division of SFHQ-J.
Kids and elders of 55 Division areas enjoyed with the gifts distribution of Santa Clause and Christmas Carols organized by the troops.

Meanwhile, for the 4th consecutive year SFHQ-J on Friday (27) joined commemorate of X’mas in Jaffna with an elaborate Carols programme.
It was attended by, Commander, SFHQ-J, Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe at Civil Affairs and Public Relations Office on hospital road. Opening prayer was conducted by Rev. Fr. Reggie Rajeswaran of the church of Our Lady of Refuge, Jaffna. It was followed by reciting of hymns by children of Iruppalai Canaan Prayer Centre, Kondavil Assembly of God Church and the soldiers of SFHQ-J.
During the carol service, Santa Claus distributed Christmas gifts among children.
Later, the choir on board a gaily decorated vehicle toured many areas including Passiyur, Gurunagar, Navanthurai and city centre till midnight.
