CHILDREN OF THE DEAD WAR HEROES attached to Sri Lanka National Guards battalion received Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) sponsored sixteen scholarships during a special function held recently at the battalion's headquarters in Vehera, Kurunegala.
This annual feature, organized by the battalion received a further boost when a Hong Kong based member of the Sri Lanka Youth organization Mr. J.M. Anupriya Eranga Jayalath donated fifteen wheel chairs for the use of disable soldiers to the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka National Guards battalion on the occasion.
Mrs. Anoma Fonseka, President Army Seva Vanitha Branch, Sri Lanka National Guards Regimental Commander Brigadier L.C Perera, National Guards Seva Vanitha President Mrs. Priyanthi Perera and a large gathering of the Seva Vanitha Army Branch members wives and children of the War Heroes who had laid their lives or gone missing in action or turned disable.
