Troops of the 513 Brigade of the 51 Division under the Security Force HQ-Jaffna on account of the 26th anniversary of the 513 Brigade gave away pre-cooked lunch packets and gift parcels to orphaned children at Kanam Children’s Home in Kopay on Thursday (26).
Twenty four girls and sixteen administrative staff, including teachers enjoyed the treat, launched as a community project that could foster best relations between the masses and the troops.
This charity programme also enabled those children to improve and maintain the mental well - being and happiness in the face of COVID- 19 pandemic threat.
Brigadier Mohammed Fariz, Commander 513 Brigade together with the Civil Affairs Officer and few Other Ranks of the 513 Brigade joined the treat, adhering to health formalities.
