Children of Civil Employees in 57 Infantry Division Given Study Aids

Troops of the 57 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) organized a welfare project to distribute school aid packs to 20 students, belonging to 14 civil employees serving the Infantry Division on Thursday (Mar 30) under the guidance of Major General Chandimal Peiris, General Officer Commanding, 57 Infantry Division HQ located in Kilinochchi.

The project was funded by Mr Jeewantha Fernando and Mr Terence Fernando, two businessmen in Negombo through the coordination of the GOC 57 Infantry Division and the troops. During the event, 20 students received school aid packs, each worth over Rs. 3500.00.

The GOC, 57 Division graced the distribution ceremony as the chief guest with Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and beneficiaries.
