6 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops in the 221 Brigade and 27 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops in the 222 Brigade under the 22 Division, organized two separate Shramadana campaigns on December 3 & 4 in Kuchchaweli and Verugal.
The Shramadana campaign in Wadilakkulam pre-school premises in Kuchchiweli and the Shramadana at Siththara Welayudam Kovil premises at Verugal on Thursday (4) were conducted by more than 20 troops in both places.
Meanwhile, 6 VIR troops of the 221 Brigade provided school accessories and clothes to 10 children of low-income group families, attending the Gothami pre-school at Walaiuththu, Kuchchaweli.
Troops of the 242 Brigade in the 24 Division organized an Eye Clinic for students at Thambiluvil Cenral college, Thirukkovil. On the same day, 5 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) troops of the 224 Brigade of the 22 Division provided lunch to 32 displaced children, studying at the Annahar Girls’ School, Muthur, with the financial sponsorship of the ‘Nandadasa Kodagoda foundation’, ‘Darmavijaya foundation’ and ‘Helping Hand Organization’ during December 3 - 4.
