Chief of Staff Visits IPSOTSL

Major General W.H.K.S. Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, the Chief of Staff, made his maiden visit to Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on 09 March 2024.

Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Major General C.A. Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of IPSOTSL. The Commandant then briefed him on the ongoing courses at IPSOTSL. This included details on the course curriculum for courses sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI), pre-deployment courses, basic and advanced courses on International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, and field training exercises.

Following the briefing, the Chief of Staff addressed the IPSOTSL troops, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline as military personnel. He was then invited to plant a mango sapling to commemorate his visit to the training institute. He also joined a group photograph with the Commandant and IPSOTSL staff.

Later, the Chief of Staff toured the camp premises to observe the training infrastructure facilities of IPSOTSL. He provided valuable guidance on improving the institute's infrastructure standards.
