Major General Jagath Gunawardena, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army this afternoon (25) spoke to all stakeholders in the Army sports sphere and discussed possibilities for further promotion of sport skills among all ranks, including females.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Lal Chandarsiri, Director Sports, Chairmen of all Sports Committees, Secretaries, Captains of all Sports Clubs, referees and other representatives.
The Chief of Staff during his speech to the occasion underlined the importance of absorption of more and more woman soldiers to the sports field, promotion of their skills, planned training for respective sports, gradual replacements for aged sportsmen/women, proper conduct of champions, reservation of grounds, selection of teams, etc.
He also urged all committees to follow rules and regulations for champions, coaches, managers, captains and others while maintaining the highest degree of discipline, technical development initiatives and competition-organizing skills. He also elaborated on the importance of Sports Act, championship regulations, expenditures for sports items, coaches, judges and managers and urged all to spare expenses as much as possible. url clone | Nike Air Max 270
