Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff, on behalf of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu reached the Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama on Tuesday (02 Jan) to convey New Year greetings to the residing inmates at the facility.
Arriving Chief of Staff was greeted in a Guard Turnout and was warmly welcomed by an inmate at the entrance. Subsequently, the gathering visited the inmates while interacting with them and distributing New Year gifts. Later on, an inmate presented a special memento to the Chief of Staff symbolizing the visit.
Prior to his departure, Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitor’s book.
