Chief of Staff Inspects Army Base Hospital in Kandy

Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, conducted an inspection at the Army Base Hospital in Kandy on 07 May 2024. This visit preceded the forthcoming ceremonial opening of the hospital.

Upon arrival, Major General P.A.C Fernando USP, the Director General of Army Health Services and the Commanding Officer of the Army Base Hospital, Kandy, extended a warm welcome to the Chief of Staff at the hospital's main entrance.

A detailed briefing on the hospital's current functions, administration, and logistical needs was delivered by Brigadier W.W.M.P.W.W.B.R Palamakumbura RWP RSP, the Director of Management and Maintenance at the Army Base Hospital, Kandy.

The inspection encompassed various areas of the hospital, including wards, theaters, dental facilities, kitchen and accommodation for Other Ranks, as well as the surrounding camp premises, ensuring a comprehensive overview of the facility's operations.
