Chief of Staff Carries out Admin Inspection on SLSC

The Administrative Inspection of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) was carried out by Major General Jagath Gunawardena, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army on Thursday (24) at the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda.

Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya, Colonel Commandant (SLSC) and Commandant, Defence Services Command and Staff College welcomed the Chief of Staff on arrival and 10 SLSC troops presented the ceremonial Guard Turnout before he paid his tribute to the Regimental monument and recalled memories of fallen War Heroes.

Thereafter, Colonel Commandant welcomed the Director General, Directors and Staff Officers of the Army Headquarters to the Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and expressed his gratitude for conduct of the administrative inspection since it would serve an eye-opener for all senior officers and the commanding officers to carry out their routine activities in a formal manner.

Afterwards, respective Directors and the Chief of Staff evaluated pluses and minuses in order to rectify lapses which had been indicated as observations. After the closing remarks of the Chief of Staff, the Centre Commandant thanked the Chief of Staff, Director General Directors and all attendees who have taken part for success of the event. Later, an exchange of mementos to mark this routine inspection took place between the Colonel Commandant and the Chief of Staff.
