Chief of Staff on Admin Inspection at SF Regiment

The administrative inspection of the Special Forces (SF) Regiment was held at the SF Regimental Centre in Naula, Matale on 28 August 2023 in the presence of the Chief of Staff, Major General W.A.S.S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu.

It mainly focused on the smooth conduct of affairs in all Regiments and their battalions as per stipulated procedures of the Army and resolution of any pending or existing issues in respective battalions of the Regiment as regards logistics, administration and maintenance.

On arrival, the Chief of Staff was warmly received by the Colonel of the Regiment, Special Forces, Major General W.T.W.G Ihalage RWP RSP psc ptsc after a Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Regimental Centre saluted him.

Before the commencement of the day's proceedings of the inspection conference, the Chief of Staff in his remarks highlighted the importance of conduct of administrative inspections in order to become a professional regiment within the Army. Towards the end, an exchange of mementos took place between Major General W.A.S.S Wanasinghe RSP VSV USP ndu and Major General W.T.W.G Ihalage RWP RSP psc ptsc.

Major General S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Commander, Army Logistic Command, Major General J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara USP psc, Director General Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Major General A.C.A de Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and Senior Officers participated in the administrative inspection process.
