52 school children of low-income families in the 52 Division area in Chavakachcheri, Jaffna received school accessories, donated by Mr Upul Kulathunga of ‘Junior Chamber International’ organization during a simple ceremony, held at R.C.T.M College, Chavakachcheri on Tuesday (21).
The donation was coordinated by the 523 Brigade under the supervision of Brigadier Tikiri Dissanayake, Brigade Commander, 523 Brigade under the guidance of Major General Aruna Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 52 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J).
Major General Aruna Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 52 Division and Mr. Upul Kulathunga, the donor distributed gift parcels among the students, amidst a gathering of a large number of students, parents and villagers.
Senior Officers and Other Rankers of the 522 Brigade, teachers and students of R.C.T.M College, Chavakachcheri witnessed the event.
