CES Colonel Commandant visits 3 Engineer Services Regiment

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES), visited the 3 Engineer Services Regiment on 27 March 2024.

The visiting Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer and was accorded a Guard Turnout upon his arrival at the unit premises.

Afterwards, the Commanding Officer briefed the role and tasks, responsibilities and recent achievements of the unit. Adding memories to the day, the Senior Officer was invited to pose for a few group photographs with the Unit staff and was also invited to plant a sapling in the compound. Following this, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops, followed by an All-Ranks tea session.

Afterwards, he visited the camp premises, gaining firsthand knowledge of the Unit’s capabilities. During the camp visit, he addressed the Officers, imparting valuable guidance to further enhance the Unit's efficiency and effectiveness.
