The National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) of Pakistan, the pioneer in Telecommunication Equipment in Pakistan and leader in the field of communication and the high tech industry engaged in manufacturing of telecommunication equipment in Pakistan a few days ago extended a warm reception to General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army of Sri Lanka and his delegation when he made a visit to the complex at the invitation of NRTC's Chief Executive Officer, Brigadier Tofique Ahmed.
After a brief introduction, the Sri Lankan delegation was taken round the industry complex where manufacturing process was underway to meet with commercial requirements. The visit culminated with a group photograph and General Shavendra Silva signing the Visitors' Book at the NRTC leaving memories. Exchange of mementoes took place at the same time signifying the cordial relations that exist between both countries.
NRTC for the last three decades has been producing high quality products for Defense services, Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation (PTCL) and other Organizations since 1965-66. Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Adjutant General, Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit and other accompanying delegates also joined the visit
