Troops of the 3 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment of the 112 Infantry Brigade of the 11 Infantry Division under Command to the Security Force HQ-Central doused a fast-spreading bushfire in the general area of Thangamale in Haputale on Sunday (06 August).
As soon as the news was reported, a team of 16 Army personnel including officers rushed to the location and managed to extinguish the fast-spreading fire within a few hours before it would escalate into a more destructive fire.
Commander, Security Forces-Central closely supervised the task with the coordination of respective officers.
