Central Troops Assist Policemen to Maintain Quarantine Curfew

Sri Lanka Army's rider teams, together with Policemen launched a strict surveillance drive against those who flout the quarantine curfew restrictions in the general areas of Madawala and Wattegama areas in Kandy district in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic. The surveillance process continues after last Friday (3).

Those people as well as shops, etc disobeying health guidelines and flouting quarantine curfew restrictions were sternly warned during those operations. Commander, Security Forces Central Major General Vikum Liyanage, Major General Kithisiri Liyanage, General Officer Commanding 11 Division together with respective Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers are closely supervising the troops during these operations.
