The Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) under construction in Navatkuli area, Jaffna as per directions of General Shavendra Silva, Head NOCPCO, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army received a boost on Tuesday (01) when the Ceylon Engineer Consultancy Bureau (CECB) extended its generosity by gifting 100 metal beds for use in the new ICC.
Chief Operations Engineer, Mr A. Pushparaja and Senior Operations Engineer Mr A. Sathyadasan of the donor company at the request of Major General Harendra Peiris, General Officer Commanding, 52 Division of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna, considering the importance of the emergency project showed this gesture of goodwill and encouragement for the benefit of people in Jaffna.
The formal hand-over of those new beds took place after inviting Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna and Chief District Coordinator for Control of COVID-19 in Jaffna to receive the stock. Those company representatives making a symbolic gesture on the occasion delivered documents too related to the donation.
Major General Harendra Peiris, General Officer Commanding, 52 Division and a few Officers and Other Ranks were there to receive the donation.
