Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) together with several Air force officers on Saturday (12).made his maiden visit to the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) after assumption of duties as the CDS
The day’s itinerary began after Major General P.U.S. Vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-MLT warmly received the visiting Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke on arrival at the Mullaittivu grounds. In accordance with military formalities CDS reviewed the Guard Turnout at the entrance to the SFHQ-MLT premises and afterwards the Guard of Honour, accorded to him. The visiting CDS received the salute from the SFHQ-MLT troops after reviewing the parade in keeping with military traditions.
After a tree sapling and brief discussion with officer, visiting CDS listened to the area briefing done by Major General Ajith Kariyakerewana, General officer Commanding,68 Division.
The day’s itinerary culminated with CDS’s visit to Wellamullawaikkal area and Keppapilaw model village
