CAVT Troops Give Hand to Handicapped Children’s Home

Troops under training at the Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT), following a request, extended by the Provincial Social Services Department for assistance, joined hands together for the foundation-laying occasion of a new building inside the Nochchiyagama Children’s Home for the Mentally Handicapped compound.

CAVT troops coincided their engagement with the project to mark the 69th Independence Day on the instructions of the Kalaoya CAVT Commandant, Brigadier H.E.M.R.B.T Hathnagoda.

Considering the importance of the project, CAVT troops under training, staff at the Home for Handicapped Children and several officials of the Provincial Social Services Department contributed to the laying of the foundation and preparation of the ground for the new construction.
