CAVT in Another Social Project

Trainees at the Centre for Army Vocational Training School (CAVT) organized a donation programme recently to distribute donations among flood affected civilians at Saliyawewa area.

Hence, Pahalamaragahawewa and Yaya 18, Katuroda Village were inundated by floods due to sluice gates, opened at the Rajanganaya and Ambagamuwa tanks.

In coordination with Brigadier P.M.S.A Pallemulle (Retired) together with Mr Milton Jayaweera, a businessman at Mawathagama and villagers at Yaya 14 donated a consignment of dry rations and other necessary equipment to flood- affected civilians on Wednesday (15) at Sri Bodhirajaramaya Temple.  

Commandant at the Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT), Kalawewa, earlier known as the Non-Commissioned Officers Training School (NCOTS), Incumbent at Sri Bodhirajaramaya, Ven Randombe Piyananda Thero and Ven Kaikawala Gnanakanthi Thero, Grama Niladhari, civilians at Yaya 14 Rajanganaya and Yaya 18 Katupathwewa also participated in the programme.
