A representative gathering of the troops serving the Divisions, Brigades, formations and the Security Force Headquarters-Mullithivu (SFHQ-MLT) had once in a lifetime chance of receiving blessings of His Holiness Pope Francis when he arrived at the Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu on Wednesday (14) as part of His itinerary in Sri Lanka.
On the directions of Major General Jagath Dias, Commander, SFHQ-MLT all administrative and logistic programmes were implemented to take all Catholic officers and other ranks to the Madhu Church with the coordination of the organizers of His Holiness’ visit to the Wanni.
Accordingly, hundreds of SFHQ-MLT troops joined the Mass in the Madhu and received the blessings of His Holiness, together with a sea of devotees.
