Canteen Complex with ATM Opened at 53 Division Headquarters

A new building, consists of a welfare shop, a canteen and an ATM machine was opened on Thursday (5) at the 53 Division Headquarters, Inamaluwa Digampathana area with the purpose of facilitating both Army personnel and the general public.

The complex was opened by Major General Shavendra Silva, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 53 Division after religious observances and the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.

The complex was built under the directions of the GOC, 53 Division.

Engineer troops serving the 53 Division built this complex and all ranks of the the 53 Division gave their support for completion of the project.

People's Bank came forward to install this much-needed ATM facility for both Army personnel and civilians at the invitation of Major General Shavendra Silva, GOC, 53 Division.
