On information received from Military Intelligence, troops of the 12 Division under command to the Security Force HQ - Central on Friday (13) raided a Cannabis (Ganja) cultivation in the general area of Aluth Wewa in Koslanda and destroyed it.
The illegal crop cultivation, grown in about 20 perches of land has been done secretly inside jungle areas to the value of about Rs 8 m. The Koslanda Police also visited the location after its detection after the information was intimated to them by the troops.
The Koslanda Police are conducting investigations and pursuing necessary action.
