Canadian Defence Advisor Pays Courtesy Call on Commander


Colonel Mark Dussault, Defence Advisor, High Commission of Canada in New Delhi with concurrent accreditations to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake Friday (5) at Army Headquarters in order to extend formal greetings after the former assumed duties.  

Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake during his interaction with the visiting Defence Advisor, shared views on general matters of bilateral relevance and wished him good luck with his new appointment.

Exchange of mementos at the end of the meeting culminated the friendly meeting at the Commander’s office. The spouse of the visiting Defence Advisor was also present at the occasion.

Colonel Mark Dussault of the Canadian Forces who had served as the Director General Operations and Training at the NATO Rapid Deployment Corps during 2006 – 2010 before he was appointed as the first resident Canadian Defence Attaché in Chile.

He took office as the Defence Advisor for High Commission of Canada in New Delhi, August 2014 with concurrent accreditations to Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Colonel Mark Dussault is a graduate of the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College Course and the National Strategic Programme. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Masters’ in Science and Business Administration, in addition to a Diploma in Human Resources.
