The Incumbent at Sapumalgaskanda Raja Maha Viharaya and Founder Sri Shakyaputhra Foundation, Ven Shantha Bodhi Thero provided two syringe pumps worth of Rs 300,000.00 to treat COVID patients in the Wanni region on Wednesday (16).
The donation took place at the Vavuniya District Hospital where the Hospital Director received the gift. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 56 Division and in coordination with the Commander, 563 Brigade coordinated the generous gesture on behalf the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni.
GOC, 56 Division Major General Nandana Dunuwila, Civil Affairs Officer 563 Brigade, Commanding Officer, 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and Commanding Officer, 21 SLSR participated in the donation programme.
