Buddhist Monk Sponsors Supply of School Accessories

Sponsorship provided by Ven Horavila Santhasiri Thero of Vajirarama Temple, Maharagama enabled the supply of school books and accessories to all 23 students at Ambalaperumalkulam Primary School in Ambalaperumalkulam on Friday (3) with a view to elevating their educational standards.

Organized by 20 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops of the 662 Brigade, the distribution took place inside the school premises in the presence of donors, teachers and parents under the supervision of the 662 Brigade.

General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo graced the occasion as the chief guest. Reverend Father Jesunath Alphonso of Ave Maria Church, Amathiapuram, Senior Officers, Grama Niladhari of Ambalaperumal Kulam division, Principal and teachers took part in the programme adhering to health guidelines.
